I have worked in the Maintenance world as a mechanic, supervisor and engineer for over 40 years. I have had the luxury of having very knowledgeable ES&H folks to keep me in compliance with the myriad of regulations. I recently formed my own company and was hired as a consultant. The company asked me to bring they're existing ES&H procedures up to date. I soon realized I needed information sources. I used the internet as a major source for procedures. However, I discovered that I really needed to get to the basics of ES&H to develop a comprehensive plan to ensure that I had all of the ES&H fields covered. I started using this book as soon as I received it. It is an excellent resource for exposing to and reminding of, even an experienced individual, the basics of the massive world of safety. I highly recommend it as a resource in your ES&H library.
Got what I expected. Book delivery time needs improvement. Classes already had started by the time book arrived.
This book is incredibly painful!! The wording is tricky and easily misunderstood, when quiz time comes... Be careful, If this is a required text for a class, this book will get you!! If this book is not required for a class, do not purchase it, as it is confusing, misleading, and written poorly!!
